Dr. Adams moved to Utah because it’s the land of opportunity for a physician hoping to practice pediatrics—there are lots of kids to treat! The great people he’s met while living here are a bonus, and they’re his favorite part of living in the state. In his free time, Dr. Adams spends time with his 8 children, agonizes over BYU sports, and loves gardening and finding good food to eat—especially Thai food.
Pediatrics is a natural fit for Dr. Adams because he loves taking care of kids. As a parent himself, he realizes that raising and caring for children is a difficult job and an enormous responsibility. He takes his responsibility as a physician very seriously, and wants patients and parents to know that he’s their biggest advocate.
Dr. Adams adores children, period, but he especially likes working with children ages 4-7 and teenagers. Newborns also hold a special place in his heart. He is on a quest to improve his time management skills and become a better listener, but he’s already perfected his fashion sense. In fact, he feels his funky scrubs could be a big selling point for his services (for kids, anyway).
Dr. Adams was a 32-week preemie in the 1950s—when the field of neonatology was just starting to emerge. This fact partially inspired his interest in medicine.
