Born and raised in Utah, Dr. Wilcox enjoys taking full advantage of all that the state has to offer. When he’s not trail running, backpacking, or mountain biking, he enjoys traveling off the beaten path with his wife and two daughters.
As a young athlete, he says he spent a lot of time with doctors treating his various sports injuries. It was these experiences that inspired his interest in medicine and his desire to work with young patients. Today, he enjoys helping kids of all ages to be emotionally and physically healthy—including treating their sports injuries. In addition to his medical training and history with sports, he says experiencing his own parenting ups and downs has given him the perspective to be a better pediatrician.
Though he’s still struggling to master his casting, Dr. Wilcox enjoys fly fishing and admits to a hidden passion for photography.
Dr. Wilcox has many talents but says his wife has a monopoly on all mechanical and repair skills in their home.
