Courtney grew up in Elkridge, at the foot of Utah’s east mountains, and developed a lifelong love of outdoor activities. In the summers you might find her boating or wakeboarding at the lake or hiking a mountain trail. Once upon a time, she could even do a backflip on a wakeboard. In the winter, you’ll find her on a board, cruising down a snowy slope.
Most of the time, however, Courtney hangs out with her kids and she enjoys singing loudly in the car. The jury is still out on whether she’s any good, but everyone sounds better with the volume cranked up!
In the clinic, Courtney believes three things are true. First, her job is to work consistently to listen to and understand the patient’s needs while clearly explaining what she’s doing and why. Communication is paramount! Second, kids should be part of their healthcare plan, and we should speak to them accordingly. Third, and perhaps most important of all: there’s nothing that doesn’t get at least a little better with a sucker.
