Andrea Quiroz moved to Orem, Utah from Bolivia when she was 9. She moved to places like Miami, Florida but returned to Utah where she wants her daughter to grow up. She enjoys hanging out with her family, watching movies, and dancing to Latin music. Although she claims to not be the best cook, she is doing her best to perfect Cuban food which is her husband’s favorite.
Andrea’s path to medical care stems from her role model sister who studied to become a doctor in Bolivia. When she was in high school she took many medical-related classes, including becoming a veterinarian assistant in 11th grade and a medical assistant in her senior year. She moved to Florida to take an accelerated bachelor’s program in nursing. It was during her residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami that she grew a fondness for pediatrics. Ever since then, she has never looked back.
Andrea lives by the philosophy of caring for both the child and the parent. She thinks about her own daughter each time she is working with the kiddos and does her best to make the whole experience less scary for them. She also understands that giving attention and support to parents is just as important as taking care of the child.
Andrea knows everything about PJ Masks and Peppa Pig and has watched all of the Disney movies at least once.
