Dr. Nance is a Salem, Utah native and a father to three children. He and his family love anything outdoors, especially if it involves finding new trails to explore, riding bikes, or spending time in the backyard. He also enjoys playing piano, golfing, and reading.
The path to becoming a pediatrician is rooted in Dr. Nance’s childhood. His father was a physician that spent many hours at work. However, what Dr. Nance remembers most was seeing how much of a positive influence his dad had on the lives of his patients. Dr. Nance first specialized as an OB/GYN, but the pull toward pediatrics was too great. He loves the kids and parents he works with and hopes to make a similar impact on their lives as his dad did with his patients.
Dr. Nance approaches pediatrics with a collaborative mindset. He understands that there is not one right answer when it comes to a child’s needs. The answer should be a shared decision between the provider, the parent, and the child. As a father himself, he understands the challenges that come with raising kids and he wants his patient families to know he’s there to help.
Dr. Nance is a huge Harry Potter fan and fancies himself a Hufflepuff.
