Marinn Smith is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing degree. She works in the Utah Valley Pediatrics Spanish Fork office. Marinn is a lifelong Utah resident. She was born and raised in Mapleton, Utah. Outdoor sports are one of Marinn’s passions. She loves mountain biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, and just about anything else involving wheels or a board. Utah is the perfect place for Marinn – she loves the cold mountains and the hot deserts.
Marinn is a mother of two young boys and loves working with children. Despite this, she didn’t always know that she wanted to work in pediatrics. Preventative medicine has always interested her, but during her pediatric rotations she realized that teaching children how to take care of themselves is the ultimate form of preventative medicine!
Being a parent has taught Marinn just how intelligent children are. She educates them at their level of understanding so that they can learn from a very young age to take pride in their health and learn to care for themselves. Marinn has many family members with type 1 diabetes, which has made her passionate about diabetic care. Her ultimate goal is to help educate parents on how to take care of their little ones and educate those little ones on how they can learn to take care of their own health.
Marinn loves mountain biking, dirt biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, wake boarding, and anything else involving wheels or a board!
