Marianne grew up in Riverside, California, and moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. She is one of ten children and now has four kids of her own. When she’s not chauffeuring her kids to various activities, she loves to plan family trips and get-togethers, watch movies, play the piano, play games, and serve others. Although she claims to be terrible at keeping plants alive, she still enjoys gardening.
Marianne’s path to pediatrics started at a young age when she would often find herself at the doctor’s office needing stitches or with a twisted ankle. She wanted to know how to fix her own wounds and became a nurse to increase her knowledge. This, combined with her love of kids, led her to pediatrics. She adores seeing the smiles of infants, chatting with toddlers, and listening to the excitement of school-age kids.
She remembers when providers paid attention to her and listened to her concerns both as a patient and a parent, and knows that listening to kids and parents is key to providing great care.
Marianne is a pro at being organized. She even has job lists laminated for each room so her kids know what chores they need to do.
