Dr. Fullmer has roots in Idaho, but he eventually relocated to Utah to be closer to family. As a true lover of the outdoors, he’s also thrilled to finally be living in the mountains.
Dr. Fullmer makes the most of Utah’s natural features and is a bit of an adventurer. In his free time, you might find him rock climbing, riding trials motorcycles or drift trikes, spearfishing, canyoneering, or maybe even snowboarding. He brings that same spirit of adventure to caring for children.
The most rewarding parts of pediatrics for Dr. Fullmer are helping his patients to be healthier and getting to be part of their childhood. He especially enjoys working with preschoolers and has a special interest in cardiology and in kids with special needs. “I got into pediatrics,” he says, “because children almost always recover from illness or injury. They’re generally healthy and I enjoy teaching them how to stay that way.” He’s also a firm believer in giving only the care that’s necessary and nothing extra. Since both of his kids have had medical problems, he’s especially sensitive to what parents need from their child’s healthcare provider.
Besides working hard to keep kids healthy, Dr. Fullmer can be found spending time with his son and daughter, working on his photography skills, or making order out of chaos in his garage. Ninja-level garage organization is his secret talent.
Video games are not Dr. Fullmer’s strong suit. He’s often beaten by preschoolers, and he’s fine with it. He also still owns the entire collection of his favorite book series, Curious George.
