When asked if he grew up in Utah, Dr. Jensen says he’s still waiting to grow up but, yes, he’s lived here all his life. After completing his residency in Ohio, he returned to Utah to be closer to his family, the mountains, and the National Parks.
While he confesses to being a terrible artist, he admits he’s good at getting people to laugh. That, combined with what he calls his “vertically challenged” stature and his interest in kids as individuals makes him a natural fit for pediatrics.
After idolizing his own childhood pediatrician, he became a doctor and a father of four. Both experiences helped shape his care philosophy. “I consider myself a consultant to parents,” he says, “in their efforts to raise healthy, happy people.” Because each age has its own joys and challenges, he enjoys working with children from birth all the way to adulthood.
An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Jensen enjoys backpacking, hiking, and running as well as playing piano and spending time with his wife and kids. He also enjoys reading and finds the best way to fit it into his schedule is through audiobooks.
Dr. Jensen also speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Jensen is a Real Salt Lake season ticket holder. His favorite baseball teams are the Dodgers and Yankees.
