Sharman is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but moved to Utah to go to college and be with her family. She loves spending time with her three children and fur babies, which include dogs and horses. She enjoys the outdoors, horseback riding, and hiking when she’s free. Sharman is also learning Spanish as a second language and looks forward to learning a third language once she has mastered Spanish.
Sharman’s career in the medical field stemmed from her father, who was a physician. She got to see him help people in his clinic, and she knew she wanted to work in medicine well. Her love for kids and their parents led her to pediatrics and she’s never looked back. She enjoys having the opportunity to advocate for children’s health.
Having a son that is on the Autism spectrum has made Sharman passionate about caring for other children on the spectrum. She loves helping kids work through mental health issues. She lives by the philosophy that the most important part of caregiving is providing the health knowledge that can empower families to build the foundation for a healthy life. She understands that raising children is hard and feels there’s no room for judgment.
Sharman owns horses and trims their feet herself. She has taken classes to become certified in doing it.
